Works at “The Remarkables”

My adaptive career started as a volunteer over 30 years ago at Mt Ruapehu. This led to a lot of training for  instructior certifications through both NZSIA and PSIA in Adaptive and Alpine skiing, and to a lesser extent snowboarding,  with instructor and trainer roles in both NZ, Colorado, and Tahoe.

An amazing opportunity arose early on to train and race as a sighted guide with the New Zealand Disabled Ski Team culminating in competing at the 1994 Paralympics in Lillehammer. A long time ago but an experience of a lifetime.

Since then it has been a privilege to share knowledge and experience when teaching adaptive lessons, or training a diverse range of volunteers and instructors completing adaptive certifications, many of whom have gone on to develop adaptive programs and become leaders in adaptive instruction across the globe.
