NZSIA members get a 46% discount on the RRP of $92. Pay just $49.68 plus P&P. Use offer code NZSIA2013 to order online at http://skia.com/nz/

The SkiA Sweetspot Trainer is the smallest, lightest ski trainer in the world. It’s simply the best device to train accurate, centred balance (and posture) for skiers. Uniquely, it also trains rotation and edging skills. It’s amazingly dynamic and fun to use. There are 4 sizes of interchangeable balance blocks, so it can be used by complete beginners, yet can also challenge the very best skiers. A single training session of just a few minutes can produce immediate results – but the hardest blocks take great skill to master. Try it yourself, use it with your clients, and get great results.

“It’s a ‘must have’ for all ski instructors” (Andrew Lockerbie – former Chairman of British Association of Ski Instructors)

“If you are an enthusiastic skier, you will be able to transform your performance using the principles of this product” (David Scott, snow.co.nz)

“It‘s been quite amazing to watch skiers with an habitual, unbalanced style coming off the slopes, stepping onto the Sweetspot Trainer and changing almost instantly” (Jaz Lamb, Director, BASS Morzine)

Nicole Ellis from Ohau has been selected as Instructor of the Year for 2012

Congratulations also to the other nominees – you make us proud!

Celine Arnold – Coronet Peak
Claire Nash – Cardrona
Naoko Usi – Cardrona
Sean Thompson – Coronet Peak
Ryan (William) Thompson – Remarkables
Masashi Tsunozawa – Whakapapa
Georgina Simon – Remarkables

Nicole was nominated by Andrew Stanford:

“Nicole has worked for Ohau Snow Fields for the past 6 seasons as a Snowsports instructor, teaching both Ski and Snowboard group lessons but she is often requested for
private lessons. The feedback from her students is always extremely positive, regarding
both progression and overall experience. As a small resort we often have to
manage groups with a range of ability and or ages, Nicole accomplishes this in
a calm professional manner, always ensuring every one of her students has fun
and leaves a more competent skier/rider. It is not unusual to see Nicole running her lessons into her break because a student was about to have a breakthrough and she really wants that to happen for them. Even on her days off Nicole can often be found coaching other staff to improve their riding and encourage them to pursue further training. It is
wonderful to see someone so passionate about Snowsports but exceptional to see
someone so enthusiastic about sharing that passion through teaching. We are
lucky to have Nicole as part of our team and look forward to her returning for
many more years.”
