Ski Instructor/Trainer at Coronet Peak.
Gavin started his ski career in 1998 as a chalet boy / dish pig. He quickly realized the winter life was for him and started ski instructing in 2001. He arrived in Queenstown in the winter of that year scoring himself a job at as an instructor at Coronet Peak.
An avid badge collector Gavin is also qualified in the BASI (British Association of Snowsports Instructors) system and PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America). As well as working in NZ Gavin has also spent winters working in Zermatt Switzerland, Val D’isere France and many other European resorts. Gavin can now be found working at Mammoth Mountain in California for the resort’s race team, where he coaches for the Junior Race Programme. He is also involved with the PSIA Western Division and USSA.
A self-confessed comic book and video game geek, Gavin loves nothing more than talking skiing and playing Xbox.
