Ashley cut his teeth skiing around 3 years of age at Broken River and Mount Hutt. A move to Queenstown following on from that started Ashley’s real involvement in the industry a junior racer in the Queenstown Alpine Ski Team.  A few season’s as an athlete training and competing in alpine events in Europe and New Zealand helped to develop his enthusiasm for the sport.

Ashley started out as a Rookie Ski Instructor at Coronet Peak in 2004. From that first season it was clear that this was the right path to choose. From that first season he has since progressed through his certification levels to obtain his Trainer’s Certification in 2009.

His most recent highlight was as a member of the NZSIA Interski Demo team at the Interski congress in Ushuaia, Argentina in 2015.

Ashley spends most of the year with his family in Queenstown enjoying plenty of the outdoor activities the region has to offer. Not to mention the odd winter exam in the northern hemisphere from time to time.
