SBINZ Technical Director, NZ Snowsports Academy Director, Director of Coach and Sport Development SSNZ, NZSIA Vice President.
Adam hails from the mighty Hawkes Bay and as youngster was always keen for the long drive up to Whakapapa to slash a few banks, but in 1994 he made his way south for his first season in Queenstown. After a few seasons of washing dishes and working in retail Adam thought there had to be a better way to travel and snowboard, so in 1999 sat his Stage One (now Level Two). He then took his qualifications to America working at Copper Mountain for two seasons but, by no mistake, ended up ‘where the beer flows like wine’ in Aspen Mountain.
By 2002 Adam was an Examiner and is now the Technical Director for the SBINZ and the Vice President for the NZSIA. After a short stint at Rainbow and Mt Hutt Adam is now based at Cardrona and lives in Wanaka. From here he runs his instructor training company NZ Snowsports Academy. He has also taken up the position of National Director of Coaching and Sport Development for Snow Sports New Zealand which is the umbrella organisation for snow sports in NZ.
As well as examining at Level One, Two, Three and Trainers Certification, Adam also has Coaching and Freestyle qualifications.
