Remarkables Snowsports School Coordinator
Nic hails from the Landon Town, Innit, England. The passion for snowboarding started back in 92 in Chourchevel, France. In the retro age when skiers never left the ground and all-in-one suits were a fashion must and hard boots were the style. Nic was skiing along slowly waiting for his family when a geeza rides past and pops an ollie right in front of him…..sold!
In the year of 99 he set off on his travels, starting in Whistler, Canada, passing his CASI Level 1, going back the following year to pass his CASI Level 2. Europe was calling and with his fortunate luck of having French as his 2nd language, Switzerland was next, spending 4 years at a small resort called Haute-Nendaz in the 4 Valleys. Sitting and passing the BASI ISIA full cert in 2005.
The love of snowboarding had taken hold and a career was in the making. It wasn’t long before the Southern Hemisphere was too hard to resist, so in 2004, bags packed and flight booked, Queenstown, NZ was the next stop and has been his home ever since, going back to back with Switzerland and then Mammoth Mountain, USA. Nic then got involved with the American system and passed the Level 3 in 2007.
Taking a little from all the Certs, it was time to get amongst the SBINZ System and he sat his Trainers/Examiners. Everything came together and he is now fortunate enough to be part of a wicked team of like minded riders, learning from all them and helping develop the sport.
He enjoys training, loves riding for a career and is proud to be the only trainer with a strawberry blond ( ginger to the untrained eye) Moustache…tequila is his drink of choice..but keep the lemon and the salt.
