This one-day course is designed to give members from other disciplines (Ski or Snowboard) the knowledge to teach beginners in telemark skiing and understand the basic mechanics of telemarking.
The course covers modules in presenting teaching techniques and progressions from first time telemarkers up to beginner turns. It is advised that you have a couple of lessons from a NZSIA qualified instructor before sitting this course – it’s expected that you have spent some time telemarking and can link formed telemark turns already.

Testimonials
Name: Patrick Latter
Course and Resort: Telemark Crossover at Coronet Peak
Year passed: 2009.
“Prior to the course I’d only done a handful of days on teles, but having enjoyed it I had marked it down as something to spend some more time on. The Crossover Course was a good blend of teaching progression and personal performance coaching. It was a thoroughly enjoyable (though exhausting!) day, packed full with all the information you need to get a decent understanding of telemarking skiing. It has given me the confidence to offer a basic telemark introduction lesson at my current ski school in Japan as well as showing me what I need to work on if I am to have a go at the higher level telemark courses next year. Highly recommended.”
