Works at: Mt Hutt

Hailing from Manchester in the UK, Billy first got a taste for sliding on a dry slope aged 13. Following trips to Austria and France with school, at 17 he landed himself a job at an Indoor Slope, working lifts and rentals. He gained his Ski level 1 in 2008 and followed with his BASI Snowboard Level 1 in 2010. Winter 2011 gave him his first season experience in NZ, where he achieved his SBINZ Level 2, leaving BASI in the past.

2 years in Whistler were followed by a move to Niseko, Japan where he passed his Level 3. Mt Hutt came calling, with a return to New Zealand in 2017. Back to Back between Hutt and Japan, Billy ticked off his Trainers Cert in 2019, and continues to spend his time between Mt Hutt and Niseko, where he helps run Instructor Training with Paul Philip at Niseko Academy.

When he’s not Snowboarding, you will probably find him playing and watching cricket and disc golf, or (and don’t tell anyone this), cutting park laps on his skis.
