Ben found gold (a snowboard) at the end of the “Rainbow” in 1994. He qualified in 1996, and made the move to Mt Hutt in 1998.

Mt Hutt helped propel Ben into the Northern Hemisphere and further into the grasp of the SBINZ. He gained his Level Three in 1999 and then progressed to become a SBINZ examiner in 2000.

Ben carried on the slippery slope south and ended up working at Coronet Peak as an Instructor and Trainer for NZSKI and SITCO. Ben really enjoyed his time doing back to back seasons in Colorado and France but now appreciates time with his family and shredding the trails around Queenstown on his bike in the summers.

He has been the SBINZ Course Manager since 2015 and loves working with such a talented team.
