Thaiwoo Ski Resort is located in Chongli District of Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, China. This area is recognized worldwide as a “Golden Zone for Alpine Skiing” within NL 40°-50° and is also where the core area of the 2022 Olympic Winter Games is located. The Resort is master planned by Ecosign Mountain Resort Planners, the venue planner of five OWGs. Thaiwoo Ski Resort has a land area of 400 ha, and about 200 ski trails planned which adds up to a total length of 138 km. Up to now, 31 ski trails adding up to 20 km have been developed, with a snow-making area of 72 ha. Thaiwoo International Ski School is operated by Thaiwoo Ski Resort. Since its foundation in 2015, the School have accumulatively offered skiing/snowboarding teaching services for almost 100,000 person-times. From the very beginning of its service, the School is committed to the goal of “building an international top-tier teaching team, providing teaching services of international standard and establishing an international teaching system that suits the Chinese skiing population“. During the past three winter seasons, foreign managers and instructors have always accounted for over 15% of all teaching staff, making them an important component of the teaching force of the School.

Ski School Director/Head of International Dept.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake full responsibilities of the day-to-day operation and management of Thaiwoo International Ski School; set and achieve annual operation budget and objectives;
  2. Constantly improve the management systems, work procedures of the Ski School; set and execute work plans and review work progress on a real time basis;
  3. Improve and perfect Thaiwoo International Ski School’s teaching system through learning from excellent international skiing teaching systems;
  4. Plan, design and execute routine curriculums, winter/summer camps and other related activities of the Ski School;
  5. Support Thaiwoo’s Marketing Department in the development and execution of the Ski School’s marketing and product design programs;
  6. Set and adjust the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for international instructors; carry out periodic reviews and evaluation and provide corrective measures;
  7. Recruit qualified international instructors (salary system, recruitment requirements, interviews, sending out notices and signing employment contracts, etc.);
  8. Handle the arrival and departure of all international instructors reasonably to maintain a normal operation order of the Ski School;
  9. Organize, manage and oversee international instructors’ daily work like ski training and winter camp teaching, as well as marketing and night activities, etc.;
  10. Coordinate the collaboration between the international and local instructors to achieve a harmonious working environment, with the support from the Local Department;
  11. Set and implement the code of conduct for the international instructors to meet Thaiwoo’s management requirements and build an image of a professional team;
  12. Learn about the requirements and needs of international instructors to create a pleasant and comfortable working atmosphere.

Applicant Requirements:

  1. College Degree or above; winter sports, education, resort management, business management or other related majors preferred;
  2. International Level 3 (or above) ski instructor certificate required, with actual teaching ability equivalent to the certificate;
  3. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a ski school director or equivalent position of an internationally known ski resort; familiarity of ski school management and operations required;
  4. Excellent leadership ability, rich team management experience and excellent ability of training ski instructors;
  5. Capable of general management of an international ski school, including the management of planning, finance, marketing and sales, and administration, etc.;
  6. Capable of ski teaching curriculum design, planning, marketing, operation and management of winter/summer camp activities;
  7. Applicant with familiarity of planning, operation and management of summer mountain activities at a ski resort is preferred;
  8. Goal oriented and with excellent time management ability; willing to work in an environment of performance target pressure;
  9. Confident, optimistic, self-motivated and active in thinking, with excellent ability in responding to changes and solving problems in a creative manner;
  10. Able to understand and agree with Thaiwoo’s management model; profound understanding ski industry and ski teaching market;
  11. Fluency in written and spoken English, proficiency in spoken Mandarin Chinese is preferred.

 

Children’s Ski School Deputy Director

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake full responsibilities of the day-to-day operation and management of the children’s ski school; achieve the ski teaching objectives set by Thaiwoo International Ski School;
  2. Design and execute children’s skiing curriculum and assist the Camp Education Dept. in winter camp product design and execution;
  3. Undertake the revenue targets of the children’s ski school and ensure Thaiwoo’s teaching quality requirements are met;
  4. Organize the instructors to execute children’s skiing/snowboarding training to complete routine and winter camp curriculums;
  5. Coordinate with the Camp Education Dept. to arrange international instructors to complete training, and undertake a part of training in person;
  6. Design and execute interactive lessons with children during non-skiing time.

Applicant Requirements:

  1. College Degree or above; winter sports, child education, child psychology or other related majors preferred;
  2. International Level 3 (or above) ski instructor certificate required, and an international recognized child psychology certificate will be a plus.
  3. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a children’s ski school director or equivalent position of an internationally known children’s ski school; familiarity of child ski teaching management required;
  4. Excellent ability of integrating resources and planning, marketing, operating and managing winter/summer camp activities;
  5. Rich experience in child skiing teaching, child sport teaching, winter/summer camp product design and execution;
  6. Confident, optimistic, self-motivated and active in thinking; good at communication with kids and teenagers;
  7. Fluency in written and spoken English, proficiency in spoken Mandarin Chinese is preferred.

 

Training Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Understand profoundly Thaiwoo International Ski School’s requirements of ski teaching system and instructor’s skiing/snowboarding ability level to ensure the instructors meet such requirements;
  2. Assist the Ski School Director to improve Thaiwoo International Ski School’s teaching system and instructor advancement system;
  3. Set plans and objectives for instructors’ training and skiing/snowboarding skill advancement and execute such plans to achieve such objectives;
  4. Organize the instructors to complete training activities of on-snow skills, skiing culture and skiing equipment;
  5. Complete the certification of instructors under Thaiwoo or international skiing /snowboarding skill level certifying systems;
  6. Track and test the actual teaching quality of instructors to complete mentor assessment.

Applicant Requirements:

  1. College Degree or above; winter sports, education, physical education or other related majors preferred;
  2. International Level 4 (or above) ski instructor certificate required, with actual teaching ability equivalent to the certificate;
  3. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a trainer of ski instructors of an internationally known ski resort; applicant with training supervisor experience preferred;
  4. Rich experience in making and executing plans for instructors’ skiing/snowboarding training and skiing/snowboarding skill advancement;
  5. Excellent skiing/snowboarding skills, profound understanding of skiing culture and skiing equipment;
  6. Confident, optimistic and self-motivated; excellent organizing ability and coordination skills;
  7. Fluency in written and spoken English, proficiency in spoken Mandarin Chinese is preferred.

 

Event Organization Leader

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build, improve and implement Thaiwoo’s holiday event service system and standard operating procedures (SOP) of holiday event services;
  2. Set and execute holiday event work plans and make flexible adjustments based on the actual visitation in the Resort;
  3. Design and execute a series of events/activities for Thaiwoo Ski Resort and make them an important component of marketing activities;
  4. Plan, organize and execute interactive activities with customers to improve customer satisfaction;
  5. Mobilize and train holiday event assistants and other staff to participate in shows/performances for customers to disseminate the lifestyle of the Resort.

Applicant Requirements:

  1. College Degree or above; winter sports, physical education, tourism/resort management, hospitality management or other related majors preferred;
  2. International Level 2 (or above) ski instructor certificate required, with actual teaching ability equivalent to the certificate;
  3. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a gentle organizer, event organizer or equivalent position of an internationally known ski resort; rich experience in event organization and management;
  4. Capable and experienced of building and implementing a holiday event service system for a large-scale ski resort;
  5. Confident, optimistic, self-motivated and active in thinking; good at organizing, coordinating and creating a vibrant atmosphere;
  6. Fluency in written and spoken English and ability of basic communication with spoken Mandarin Chinese.

 

Team Leader of International Instructors

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Organize and participate in all activities with customers within Thaiwoo Ski Resort, including non-operational activities;
  2. Lead the international instructors to achieve the KPIs confirmed by the Company;
  3. Assist the Head of International Dept. and Ski School Director to manage international ski instructors;
  4. Make adequate use of non-teaching time and organize high level foreign instructors to train the local instructors;
  5. Demonstrate to customers holistically the professionalism and authority of Thaiwoo international ski instructor team.

Applicant Requirements:

  1. College Degree or above; winter sports, education, physical education or other related majors preferred;
  2. International Level 2 (or above) ski instructor certificate required, with actual teaching ability equivalent to the certificate;
  3. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a team leader of ski instructors of an internationally known ski resort, with rich skiing/snowboarding teaching experience;
  4. Confident, optimistic and self-motivated; excellent organizing ability and coordination skills;
  5. Fluency in written and spoken English, proficiency in spoken Mandarin Chinese is preferred.

 

International Ski Instructor

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in all activities with customers in Thaiwoo Ski Resort, including non-operational activities;
  2. Complete skiing/snowboarding training tasks for customers and achieve the training hours required by Thaiwoo;
  3. Accept and comply with the management by managers and collaborate with other departments if required;
  4. Demonstrate to customers holistically the professionalism and authority of Thaiwoo international ski instructor team.

Requirements:

  1. College Degree or above; winter sports, education, physical education or other related majors preferred;
  2. International Level 1 (or above) ski instructor certificate required, with actual teaching ability equivalent to the certificate;
  3. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a ski instructor of an internationally known ski resort, with rich skiing/snowboarding teaching experience;
  4. Confident, optimistic and self-motivated; excellent communication skills;
  5. Fluency in written and spoken English, proficiency in spoken Mandarin Chinese is preferred.
