A born and bred Hamiltonian, Glenn was a relatively late starter when it came to Snowsports, scoring his first day on snow at Coronet Peak as a uni student at Dunedin. Back again at Coronet 10 years later Glenn started his snowsports career as a Rookie Instructor. At the end of that season in 1999 he took off for Keystone, Colorado and didn’t see a New Zealand summer for another 10 years.
During that time Glenn progressed through both the SBINZ and AASI (USA) systems and since 2003 the majority of on-snow time has been focussed on training other instructors. In 2005 Glenn took on the role of Snow School Manager at Turoa Ski Area and, in that same year, he joined the SBINZ Examining Team. Glenn is also a member of the NZSIA Executive Committee, as the elected North Island Representative, a position he has held since 2006.
After 13 years of full time involvement in the snowsports industry Glenn, Veronica ans young son Oli headed for the beach early in 2012. Glenn is now the General Manager at the Mount Maunganui Lifeguard Service, trying to make up for all the waves and trout that he didn’t catch in the first 9 summers of this century.
