Kyle hails from the U.S. – but let’s try not to hold that against him! He started his instructing career in 1995 teaching skiing at Crystal Mountain, Washington. Teaching snowboarding soon followed.
Instructing gave Kyle the opportunity to travel to NZ in the late 1990s, where he became involved in the SBINZ and started as an Examiner in 2001. He has been involved with instructor training programmes at Cardrona for many seasons and now heads up the snowboard training. He spends his Northern Hemisphere winters in Park City, Utah. In his spare time he enjoys a nice pedicure and a relaxing game of Petanque.
… And just for the record Maccers (Tony Macri) is not the only fully certified ski instructor on the Snowboard Examining team.
