Carlo hails from Italy, in his younger days you could find climbing a tree, building a fort or kicking a ball. Always in motion, never still. After graduating from High-school, he knew he wasn’t looking for a “real” job or a “normal” life.
In 2013, Carlo made the bold decision to leave his native country behind and embark on an adventure in the captivating lands down-under, yearning for a change in lifestyle. After spending two years working on farms in Australia living in the van-life, Carlo found himself at a crossroads, uncertain about the path he should pursue. However, driven by an undeniable curiosity and a desire for something different, he took a leap of faith and enrolled in a snowboard instructor course at Cardrona in New Zealand. It was a significant gamble, as he invested all his hard-earned savings into something he had minimal knowledge and experience in.
In July 2015, on the first day of the course, he knew he wanted to become an instructor. In 2019, he achieved his Trainer Cert and now Carlo works at Cardrona for ITC, teaching in the same course he took to become an instructor in the first place. Being a trainer and examiner brings him great joy and fulfilment.
When Carlo isn’t working, you can find him enjoying his favourite activities. He loves snowboarding, and you’ll often find him riding in the park. He also enjoys skateboarding, surfing and cooking for his friends.
