Guy started snowboarding in the early 90’s when he was nine. After growing up and attending High School in Timaru, NZ, Guy moved to Queenstown and trained to become a snowboard instructor at Coronet Peak in 2002.
After Gaining his Stage One cert and working for two years at Coronet he moved across to work at The Remarkables where during the NZ season has been teaching ever since.
Guys enjoys freestyle snowboarding and competed in slopestyle competitions and rail jams from 2005-2015 and then went on to coaching others and still spends most of his time in the park.
In 2006 Guy achieved the NZSIA Freestyle Coaching Certification, then in 2013 became qualified as a Full Cert Instructor (gaining his Level Three).
Most recently in 2020 Guy passed the SBINZ Trainers Certification. As a current NZ Tech Team member Guy is enjoying his role filming and developing content for the most recent Snowboard Instructors Manual.
