Growing up in Wellington, Jamie learned to ski at Mt Ruapehu from the age of 3. With a strong desire to learn to snowboard but a whole family of skiers, finally Jamie convinced her parents to let her put a board on at the age of 12 and never looked back.

Joining the ITC programme at Cardrona in 2014 was the start of Jamie’s journey in the snow sports industry, and where she has spent every winter in NZ since. Now Jamie is mostly involved in coaching and works for HPC at Cardrona.

Jamie hopes to inspire other females to pursue a career in snow sports. Whether it’s people she trains towards becoming certified and progressing as instructors, or little grom’s she coaches in the park who aspire to be professional athletes.

In the off season, you’ll most likely find Jamie on her mountain bike, in the gym, or at the coast pretending she can surf.
