Works at: Mt Hutt

Growing up at the lofty altitude of 6m in Cambridge, England doesn’t exactly lend itself to Snowsports, but after being completely baffled by the mogul skiing at the ‘98 Olympics a school trip at aged 13 is where the hooks were well and truly stuck. After leaving uni I chose to come to NZ for a season and ended up at TC to do my BASI L1+2.

Canada followed next for two winters where I fell in love with the human aspect of teaching and seeing other people get stoked on learning. Wanting to continue this journey I ended up at Tūroa for a winter when I next returned to NZ. I finally found Methven and Mt Hutt in 2013 where I have been ever since.

Realising that I wouldn’t be teaching in Europe at any point in the future I switched to the NZ system and passing L3 in 2014 and gaining Trainers cert in 2024. While the endless winter is no longer and summers are a regular thing, I am usually to be found out on a bike, taking the dog for a walk or sledging the opponents from mid-wicket with zero ability to back it up!
