Almost a late comer to the sport of skiing Gavin has been teaching since 1993 and examining since 2000. Ten years of back-to-back winters mostly between Queenstown and Colorado saw him hone his customer service skills to a fine art, although the Americans never quite got the hang of his sense of humour.
He can be found on Coronet Peak most days training budding instructors for SITCo, (The Ski and Snowboard Instructor Training Co) or at various other NZ resorts working for the NZSIA.
