Works at: NomaDice, Hokkaido Vibe & NZSki
Growing up in the 80s and 90s, I watched snowboarding explode into a cultural phenomenon—complete with its own music, fashion, community, and sense of freedom. After finishing high school in 1998, I left the UK for the Alps to chase the snowboard lifestyle.
This passion eventually led me to New Zealand to snowboard year-round. In 2001, I landed at Mt Hutt as a rookie snowboard instructor, and that first season changed everything for me.
Over 40+ seasons, I’ve worked across different continents, mountains, and schools, earning my SBINZ Trainer’s certification in 2007. I’ve had opportunities to teach, train, and manage educational teams internationally, working with some of the best in the industry.
Currently, I split my time between Japan and New Zealand, running specialist instructor training, splitboarding workshops, and powder camps through NomaDice. I also balance a contemporary art and illustration practice, creating work during artist residencies between seasons.
After all these years, I haven’t lost my passion for teaching. Sharing this with the next generation remains a joy—whether someone’s taking their first turns, navigating powder in the trees, or working toward their next instructor certification.
