Broken River Ski School Director & Ski Instructor
Broken River is renowned for the quality of its ski instruction which is second to none, and a vital element of the Broken River experience. We are looking to employ a high-level (e.g. alpine NZSIA Level 3, CSIA Level 3, PSIA 3, or above), highly motivated, enthusiastic ski instructor to run our ski school for 2020. This is a unique opportunity to challenge your teaching skills in mostly off-piste conditions and experience instructing at a small club ski field in the Canterbury Mountains.
You will have the skills to inspire and teach intermediate to advanced skiers in mostly steep, off-piste conditions. You will be responsible for organising group and individual lessons for resident guests and day visitors.
You will teach our specialist multi-day off-piste ski courses for upper intermediate and advanced adult skiers. You will provide a fun but challenging learning environment, with an on-going teaching progression, for our expert junior skiers in our popular weekend junior freeride programme.
You will be required from July 4th to mid-September, but we will consider both short and long-term applicants. The role is typically 5 days per week with payment by commission. We provide on-mountain accommodation and a super fun working environment.
This is a unique opportunity to instruct mostly intermediate to advanced skiers of all ages in mainly off-piste conditions at a small, friendly club ski field. Broken River Ski Area is operated by the Broken River Ski Club in the Craigieburn Range, 90 minutes-drive from Christchurch.
