Ruapehu Alpine Lifts operates both Whakapapa and Turoa Ski Areas in the central north island and are currently recruiting for ski and ride instructors. Full time, part time and casual positions are available for qualified instructors as well as our 2021 Apprenticeship Programme for those looking to start a career in the Snowsports Industry.
Our instructors are available to teach all ages and programmes creating a fun, safe and caring learning environment. As a member of the team at Mt Ruapehu you will create fun learning experiences that keep our guests coming back and enjoying this winter playground year in and year out. Apprentice Instructor Programme
This Apprentice Instructor Programme aims to provide you with the skills and support you need to sit your Level One ski or snowboard exam. By combining teaching methodology, technical understanding and continued support, you will develop strong guest relationships and lesson preparedness. No previous experience required except a competent ski or ride ability and a willingness to learn. We’ll get you ready to deliver exceptional experiences to our guest all while gaining a new set of skills and qualifications.
