Works at Mt Hutt
Rich started teaching snowboarding in Canada in 2010 on a gap year, that year quickly became a decade spending winters in NZ, Japan and the United States. After a stint at Turoa, in 2014 it was time for a move to the Mighty Methven where he now lives and works as the snowsports school manager for Mt Hutt.
Since passing his trainers cert in 2019 Rich has run exams in NZ and Japan as well as becoming a member of the SBINZ tech team. Well into decade number two now, his goal is to help others forge career paths that keep them on a board and in the mountains.
When he’s not behind the computer you can find Rich cutting medium park laps so if you come up to Mt Hutt make sure so stop by and have a yarn!
