For those that rolled over their bookings, we will be in touch soon with confirmation of what you are booked on.

The rest we refunded back last year and communicated once that was complete. If you are unsure, just email admin@nzsia.org and we can work through it with you.

50th Anniversary Merchandise:

The 50th Anniversary t-shirt sold out last year. We replenished our stock so we can keep supplying to our membership until we run out again. T-shirts and caps can be purchased through our shop. Don’t miss out, once this event is done, so is this merchandise: NZSIA Shop

Elections for President and Vice President

Dan Bogue – President and Claire Dooney – Vice President, were both standing for re – election for their respective positions on the NZSIA Board. Nominations have been open for the last few weeks, we received no further nominations. As a result, they will remain in their positions for another 3 year term. Congratulations to you both! 2023 Interski – Levi

Levi – Finland – 26th – 31st March 2023 – NZSIA is off to the artic circle!!

Interski forms an important part of the ongoing development of our resources and staff. It’s an opportunity to showcase our talent while gaining valuable insight and knowledge from the ISIA participating countries.

The divisional selection is underway, and we look forward to learning who will represent us at Interski. It’s been a tough few years for the NZSIA therefore the team will be smaller than some of the previous teams. Interski has introduced additional strands to the event, and we are looking at ways to maximise the time spent in Finland.

Ever dreamed of going to an Interski and being part of this amazing event?! There is a delegates package, so everyone can get involved: https://interski2023.com/

Mobile App

If you haven’t heard already, NZSIA now has an App. We are excited to start building this to become something that all our members will be able use as a valuable resource – including elearning and manuals. Try it out – it will be free to everyone this year, next year members will need to be current to access it.

Download it by searching for “NZSIA” on the Goggle Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nzsia.andriodapp or Apple App store: https://apps.apple.com/nz/app/nzsia/id1590244683

Ski and Snowboard Manuals

Snowboard Manual – the new edition will be available soon via the Downloads Page and the app. It will be interactive – we are hoping you will find this easier to get the information you need. In the meantime, there will not be a hard copy available of the Snowboard Manual for this season.

Ski Manual – still available in pdf format on the Downloads Page, and also available to purchase in our NZSIA shop. A new edition is in the pipeline, plan is to release it at the end of the season.

Industry Discount for 2022

Over the last few years, as part of an agreement with SAANZ involving a number of initiatives, we have rolled out a very successful Industry discount. This gave the opportunity for our members to access great discounts on selected courses for those that were working for resorts. Also as part of that agreement, resorts gave discounted lift tickets for our out of town candidates when on courses – lots of wins for everyone!

The plan for 2022  – It will be a voucher system, allocated from your Resort Snowsports Manager. Each resort will have a limited number of vouchers, giving the resorts the ability to target where they would like to further develop their Snowsports school.

Once we have it all signed off, we will advise your Resort Snowsports School Manager on the exact process and let you all know. In the meantime, if you want to book on a course, we recommend securing your place at full price, then if you are eligible for a voucher, we can apply the discount retrospectively.

Sustainability Fund Initatives

The sustainability fund generated from the membership subscriptions is to be used for two projects in 2022:

1) Planting natives on the Treble Cone access road

2) Pine Oil initiative at Coronet Peak with profits going to Happiness House charity.

For further details on our sustainability projects, we have a page on the website: NZSIA Sustainability
