NZSIA is seeking a General Manager to step into a newly created leadership role and help shape the future of snowsports in New Zealand.

This is a hands-on, operational leadership position where you’ll work closely with the Board to turn strategy into action, lead delivery across our programmes and services, and support a passionate team. You’ll play a key role in strengthening relationships across the industry while ensuring NZSIA continues to deliver high-quality experiences both nationally and internationally.

Based in Arrowtown with flexible working arrangements (0.8 FTE), this role offers the opportunity to combine meaningful work with a lifestyle in the heart of New Zealand’s alpine environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading delivery of NZSIA programmes and services
  • Driving quality, consistency, and continuous improvement
  • Providing leadership to Course Managers, contractors, and administration
  • Managing budgets, financial performance, and reporting to the Board
  • Building and maintaining strong industry relationships
  • Representing NZSIA nationally and internationally

We’re looking for a confident, capable leader with strong operational experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance big-picture thinking with day-to-day delivery. Experience in snowsports, outdoor recreation, or membership organisations is an advantage, but not essential.
