Role 1: General Manager
Step into a newly created leadership role with real scope to make an impact. This hands-on, operational role puts you at the heart of NZSIA, turning strategy into action, supporting a passionate team, and building strong connections across the snowsports community – nationally and internationally.
Location: Arrowtown (Hybrid) | 0.8 FTE, flexible
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead NZSIA programmes and services
- Drive quality, consistency, and continuous improvement
- Manage Course Managers, contractors, and admin teams
- Oversee budgets and Board reporting
- Build and maintain industry relationships
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven operational leadership experience
- Strong financial and organisational skills
- Confident working with a Board and multiple stakeholders
- Excellent communicator and relationship-builder
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Bonus: experience in snowsports, outdoor recreation, or membership organisations

Role 2: New Independent Board Member
Join our Board to help guide NZSIA’s strategic direction and growth. Contribute your skills and experience to a purpose-driven organisation at the heart of NZ snowsports.
Location: Arrowtown (Hybrid) | Flexible commitment
We are seeking candidates with:
- A clear understanding of roles and responsibilities at governance board level.
- Proven board-level governance experience, ideally across multiple organisations
- Strong financial capability, including the ability to interpret financial performance, risk, and sustainability
- Experience contributing at a governance level to legal, regulatory, or compliance environments
- A track record of contributing to governance maturity and board effectiveness
- Experience supporting or overseeing senior executive leadership (e.g. CEO/GM)
- Previous Chair or committee leadership experience is highly regarded
What you will bring:
- Independent thinking and sound judgement
- The ability to operate at a strategic level, with a clear understanding of the governance vs management boundary
- Confidence to contribute, challenge, and support robust Board discussions
- A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement
- A genuine affinity for the purpose of NZSIA and the role it plays in the snowsports community
